Along the way, you’ll pick up simple sewing techniques and tips for finishing details, then personalise your bag with trims and extras to make it yours. No experience needed.

About the designer

Sabot creates custom-made garments for creatures—treating clothing as a technological extension of the body and a way to negotiate visual expression in social space. The name references the origin of “sabotage”: wooden clogs (“sabots” in French) once thrown into industrial machinery as a protest against the early factory system.

By making garments themselves and supporting small, local textile businesses, Sabot aims to reclaim the power to express ourselves beyond mass-production cycles and big fashion systems. Their practice brings together handcraft and technocraft with a strong focus on socially and environmentally sustainable processes and community-driven design.

COME TO:

COME TO: offers low-barrier access to making where participants can explore tools, materials, and techniques side by side with others. The workshop format will be continued throughout the year, exploring different types of crafts, guided by both upcoming and established designers. Perfect for a creative afternoon with your friends.
