Ungesporet
2025 – 2027
Activating young people in hands-on making, expanding our creative community and building entrepreneurial courage.
In 2026, maker will move facilities to DSB’s old forge, a beautiful heritage building located in Jernbanebyen. We call this building LITRA. In connection with this transition, we are starting up Unge-sporet (‘The youth track’), an ambitious project with generous support from Tuborgfondet, which has granted 3,5 million to the project. Running over 1.5 years (2025–2027), this initiative will engage 500–1000 young participants from across the Greater Copenhagen area.
Ungesporet activities
We will do this through a series of interconnected activities designed to meet young people where they are; from curious beginners to emerging entrepreneurs.
-
Offers low-barrier access to LITRA where participants can explore tools, materials, and techniques side by side with others. Each session will focus on creating with the use of one specific tool.
-
A set of workshops which introduces traditional skills like weaving, paper-making or furniture upholstering, with the guidance of a selected designer who specialise in the area.
-
A set of courses are developed in collaboration with educational institutions to connect theory with hands-on practice in design, technology, and innovation.
-
For those ready to dive deeper, Specialist Sessions bring small groups together with professionals to prototype, experiment, and learn across disciplines - focused on a specific area.
-
The Talent Program supports a select group of young creators with mentorship, workspace, and the chance to present their projects publicly.
-
Through Symposiums, we gather voices, designers and thinkers to share ideas, inspiration, and reflections on how making can drive social and environmental change.
