Make your own unique 20x20 cm tapestry using hand-tufting methods guided by TuftedLove.
Tufting is a traditional craft using a hand-operated danella needle. You start by sketching your design onto stretched hessian in a frame, then tuft it with yarn. The needle creates loops on the back of the fabric, which form your finished textile piece.
No experience needed as anyone can learn tufting. It’s a fun alternative to painting, knitting, or sewing, and it’s both quick to see results and surprisingly calming (almost meditative).

About the designer
Cathrine Svarre is the maker behind the tufting profile TuftedLove. She has been tufting for more than five years and, after nearly two decades as a teacher, she has traded the classroom for the hand-operated Danish danella needle.
Cathrine is also part of GunGun, a design community and shop focused on local, handmade craft. With her strong teaching background and extensive workshop experience, you’ll get clear, constructive guidance tailored to your own wall hanging.

COME TO: offers low-barrier access to making where participants can explore tools, materials, and techniques side by side with others. The workshop format will be continued throughout the year, exploring different types of crafts, guided by both upcoming and established designers. Perfect for a creative afternoon with your friends.

You’ll be in great hands—Cathrine will guide you through the entire process. The workshop is designed to support young people’s curiosity and confidence across different crafts, so no prior experience is needed. We’ll also provide snacks and drinks during the session.

Please note: We have limited spots for each activity, so if you’ve signed up but can’t attend, please let us know in advance. If you don’t email us at least 24 hours before the workshop, we may charge a fee of 100 DKK.
